Esistono luoghi così affascinanti da richiedere, sin da subito, una visione fuori dal tempo e dallo spazio. Ambienti in disuso, ricchi di storia, tra le cui mura riecheggiano ancora le vibes e le sonorità degli eventi passati vissuti dalla “gente della notte”. Progettare la nuova sede degli uffici Fremantle nella ex discoteca ‘Alpheus’, all’ombra del Gazometro, è stata una scommessa ardua sotto diversi fronti. E’ servita una visione di insieme della potenzialità dei luoghi con immediata riqualificazione e bonifica degli ambienti dismessi da troppo tempo. Quindi, è stato necessario analizzare e capire quali elementi potessero essere mantenuti e riutilizzati con nuove funzioni e in armonia con il progetto, anche in memoria di un trascorso storico del luogo. La sintesi di tutti questi elementi è confluita nella progettazione del nuovo polo operativo degli uffici Fremantle non solo con creatività ma con estrema ratio, affinchè le diverse società accolte ed unite all’interno della sede dialogassero con molteplici spazi funzionali: postazioni open-space, co-working, uffici direzionali, sale riunioni, ambienti relax, aree ristoro, phone booth. L’utilizzo dei “props di scena” provenienti dai set cinematografici e dalle produzioni televisive più di successo della società accompagnano visivamente gli ospiti attraverso gli spazi. Un lavoro di concerto che mette in correlazione più layer progettuali tenendo conto del benessere dei fruitori e della funzionalità degli spazi, senza però sacrificare l’estetica degli elementi architettonici mixati alle necessità aziendali. Questa vivacità espressiva emerge sin dall’ingresso principale dove l’uso di ledwall a tutta altezza, perfetta cornice alla scala scenografica, catapultano immediatamente l’ospite nel mondo ‘Fremantle’.

There are places so fascinating that they immediately demand a vision outside of time and space. Disused spaces, steeped in history, whose walls still echo the vibes and sounds of past events experienced by the “people of the night.” Designing the new Fremantle offices in the ex Alpheus disco, near the Gasometro, was a daunting undertaking on several fronts. It has required a comprehensive vision of the site’s potential, with immediate redevelopment and remediation of the long-abandoned spaces. Therefore, it was necessary to analyze and understand which elements could be retained and repurposed for new functions and in harmony with the project, while also honoring the site’s historic past. The synthesis of all these elements came together in the design of the new Fremantle office hub, not only with creativity but also with extreme rationality, so that the various companies hosted and united within the headquarters could communicate with multiple functional spaces: open-plan workstations, co-working, executive offices, meeting rooms, relaxation areas, refreshment areas, and phone booths. The use of props from the company’s most successful film sets and television productions visually guides guests through the spaces. This collaborative effort intertwines multiple design layers, taking into account the well-being of users and the functionality of the spaces, without sacrificing the aesthetics of the architectural elements combined with the company’s needs. This expressive liveliness emerges from the main entrance, where the use of floor-to-ceiling LED walls, the perfect frame for the scenographic scale, immediately catapults guests into the world of Fremantle.
