“Nature is not a place to visit. It is our home “G. Snyder
Often there is a tendency to trivialize the conception of the external space of a villa downgrading it to a mere perimeter delimitation of the urban boundaries of an existing lot, a “something” placed outside the domestic habitat, in reality the green is synonymous of freedom as well as a metronome of our life thanks to the natural succession of the seasons, it is therefore right that it be given the importance it deserves. A key element in the design was the choice to leave nature as the protagonist, keeping the external spaces closely connected with the internal ones and making the veranda an element of union between the two worlds; hence the choice of a material continuity between inside and outside, so that the eye is captured not by a change of material or style but exclusively by nature which can be enjoyed from the large windows that remain the only faint filter between the observer and the world. For this reason, as in the interiors, large slabs of marble-effect stoneware with melange veins and coatings in wood tones are found for the flooring that then become the perimeter walkway of the newly built swimming pool. The concept of the domestic hearth is emphasized by the double-sided fireplace placed between the veranda and the internal living area and usable on both sides, precisely to underline how the dialogue between inside and outside is continuous and constant, all then contrasted with the use of minimal furnishings with country references and industrial-style pendant lights that give the environment a timeless elegance.
